Stanley Mearse, Minister of Children
Stanley Mearse is from Mineral Wells, Texas. He earned an Elementary Education degree from Hardin Simmons University, Abilene, TX then went on to receive his Masters of Divinity Degree from Southeastern University, Wake Forest, NC. Think of the despair and loneliness that could be spared by coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at an early age. It is his prayer and calling to give children a safe, nurturing, and relevant environment where they will have every opportunity to learn to follow Christ.

Greg Whitener, Choir Director
Greg is a native of the Hickory, NC area and began visiting MVBC with his wife Cindy and their two children, Gregory and Victoria in 2000. Within a few months it was obvious to Cindy and Greg that God had led them to this place. “Both Cindy and I ‘grew-up’ in church and accepted Christ at an early age and had prayed that our children would one day come to a saving knowledge of Christ. Through God’s calling and the children and youth ministries of MVBC, we saw those prayers fulfilled and now see their walk with Christ continue as adults.” While at MVBC, Greg had served in a number of ministry areas – Sunday School, Deacon, Youth, Praise Team, Choir, etc., then in 2010 Greg accepted the position of Choir Director. Greg is excited about the opportunities God is providing to impact people’s lives through Biblically-based Choral music.
