Jeff Rafferty, Associate Pastor of Education and Outreach
Jeff joined the staff at Mountain View Baptist Church in September 2003 after serving churches in Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina. Jeff is married to Michelle and they have three daughters.
Jeff graduated college in 1991 from Murray State University where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration. Following college he went on to earn his Master of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in 1995.

Cory Smith, Minister of Youth
Cory has been a part of Mountain View’s congregation since his early childhood. He came to know Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of eight while attending a Vacation Bible School here at Mountain View Baptist Church. He surrendered to God’s calling to preach the gospel at 18 years old on a youth group mission trip to New York City in the summer of 1998.
Cory attended Liberty University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion with a concentration in Biblical Studies. During his time at Liberty, Cory began to travel across the country with several different student focused evangelistic organizations. After his graduation in 2002 Cory started a ministry called Commission 342 and continued to travel across the US preaching the gospel. Cory has also served in an interim capacity for several churches across North Carolina. Cory married Jennifer in July of 2009, and they have a daughter, Aubry.

Cathy Keener, Administrative Assistant
Cathy is married to Jeff and has two daughters, Amber and Kristin, and a son-in-law, Pete. Cathy has three grandchildren Bethany, Nicholas, and Noah. She has been a member of MVBC since 1993, and she also came on staff in August of 1993. Cathy loves serving the Lord, spending time with her family. She enjoys cooking and preparing meals for others, shopping, gardening, and going to the beach.

Betty Abernathy, Administrative Assistant
Betty has been a member at Mountain View Baptist Church since 2003, and has been employed with MVBC since 2004. Betty grew up both Caldwell and Burke Counties. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at the age of 21. She graduated from Western Piedmont Community College with an Associates Degree in Accounting. Betty also holds multiple certificates in computer technology. She is involved in multiple activites in the church including "G.R.O.W" and Olympians.
Betty has been married to her husband Scott since 1991. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, music, traveling, spending time with her family, and going to the lake.

Ronnie Lipka, Administrative Assistant
Ronnie is married to Phil and has a daughter, Rebecca, and two step-children, Jodi and Philip. She has been a member of MVBC since 2001, and has served on the office staff since August of 2006. She was born in Colorado Springs, CO, to an Air Force family. She is active in the Adult Choir and Praise Team ministries.
Ronnie enjoys camping, fly fishing, hiking, kayaking, and canoeing. Ronnie also admits to being an avid New York Yankees fan.

Steve Williams, Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor
Steve is married to his wife Rene'. They have four children and eight grandchildren. Steve became a member at MVBC in May of 2007. In January of 2008 Steve joined the staff at Mountain View as the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor. He also serves as a greeter, usher, and teaches children's classes with his wife on Wednesday nights.
Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and family. He also loves his job and worshiping with his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
