Missions
At Mountain View Baptist Church we feel that it is our pleasure and privilege to serve others for the cause of Christ both at home and on the foreign mission field. Here are just a few of the missions efforts that we here at Mountain View Baptist Church will be participating in during 2012.

We wil join Lifetree Adventures on their Operation Kid-to-Kid trip to distribute Bibles and backpacks to needy children in Costa Rica. On this trip you'll enjoy the blessing of giving good news and a hug to grateful children. During the summer of 2011 churches throughout North America who use Group's Vacation Bible School program will be collecting backpacks and donations for Bibles from millions of kids. Our Lifetree Adventures team will have the privilege of giving away these gifts to kids in a variety of ministry settings throughout Costa Rica. If you and your church group choose to join us you'll grow closer to God and to the boys and girls of Costa Rica, as well as to the other members of our Lifetree Adventures Operation Kid-to-Kid team. Southwinds Church - Calgary, Alberta, Canada
July 14-21 T-Ball Camp
July 21-28 Upward Soccer Camp
For more than 5 years we have had the opportunity to serve with Southwinds Church in Calgary, Alberta, Canada as they continually build relationships within their communities which will eventually lead to the presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In addition, this year we will be helping one of our own home-church missionaries, Holly Procita! We will once again come alongside of Southwinds Church and host 2 Sports Camps within the communities of Calgary; T-ball and Upward Soccer Camp for kids. In addition, there will be block parties and family BBQs. We will be taking (2) one-week long trips this summer to Canada. The first week will be July 14-21 (T-Ball) and the second week will be July 21-28 (Upward Soccer). These camps are all about relationship building with the communities. We will serve as ambassadors of Southwinds Church which will in turn give them an opportunity to share the gospel with their community. For more information about going to Canada please contact Greg LaRochelle (gslaro@embarqmail.com or (828) 514-0082).
