At Mountain View Baptist we understand the value of children, and we strive to offer a wide range of ministries to meet their spiritual and physical needs. We have a growing and exciting ministry for children. Find out more about our various Children’s programs in the sections below...
Critter Land is a fun, interactive Preschool Children’s worship experience. Children will join Looney Bird & Henrietta Hen as they explore the goodness of God. Children need to know that God is on their side. He loves them and wants good in their lives. Many children have an image of God that views Him as distant and impersonal. Critter Land brings an understanding of a personal God into a child’s world. Critter Land meets Sunday mornings at 9:00am.
Tiny Tunes Preschool Choir
Children know that there’s nothing more fun than to play with one another, praise the Lord both in song and action, to learn about God’s love, to hear Bible stories, to color, and even to enjoy snacks. Those are just a few of the things children enjoy during the Tiny Tunes Preschool Choir class time. Tiny Tunes meets Sundays at 6:00 pm in Room 212.
Gopher Buddies
Gopher Buddies is our Wednesday evening ministry for four- and five-year olds. Gopher Buddies meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm. The children hear and learn from Bible stories, memorize Scripture verses, learn about missionaries, and focus on a mission project each month. They also do craft activities, have a light snack, and play with puzzles, games, and other age-appropriate toys.
KidZone is a high-energy Children’s Church program (grades 1-4) with a strong message for Jesus Christ. With the use of interactive skits, video drama and music, KidZone illustrates God’s Word in a way children can relate to and understand on their level. Our goal is to help children connect with God, grow in faith and build a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ. Kid Zone is on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m – Room 211 (Children's Worship Center)
Olympians
The Olympians Club is a Word of Life Ministries outreach for children in first through sixth grade. These clubs were started in 1959 by the Word of Life Local Church Ministries and have grown to over 1300 clubs across North America. Our goal is to reach youth with the gospel message and to disciple them to a growing Christian life.
Our club meets every Wednesday evening 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Each child is given a quiet time which is grade level appropriate to do at home on a daily basis. It consists of daily Bible readings and a short activity for them to do. It also contains verses for the kids to learn for the opportunity to earn a Bronze, Silver and/or Gold medal at the end of the year. A Bible lesson is given each night along with a game or craft activity and snack.
Kids for Christ is a time of fun, friendship, and a high-energy time of learning to praise the Lord for children grades 1-6. KFC meets Sundays at 6:00 pm in the Adult Choir Room.Christmas time is special because these children share Christ with the members of Mountain View Baptist Church and their families, friends, and neighbors in a special musical presentation.
Upward Sports Programs

Upward is a ministry launched in upstate South Carolina and is now reaching kids across the world. Currently at MVBC your kids can enjoy participating in Upward Football and Upward Cheerleading during the fall season. Our Upward practices are held once a week with games on Saturdays. We would love to have your children take part in this exciting program where they have the opportunity to exercise and have fun, but they also hear the good news of our savior Jesus Christ.
